Payment (by cash, cheque, BACS or credit card) must be settled at the time of consultation. Payment of all patient fees is the responsibility of the patient, including when a 3rd party may be involved.

We are registered with the major private medical insurers (BUPA, AXA-PPP, Simply Health, Norwich Union, Cigna, etc.), but do contact your insurer in advance to ensure your policy will provide cover. They may require you to obtain a referral from your GP. Again, we ask that payment is settled at the time of consultation (except for AXA and BUPA claims which require a pre-authorisation number specific to your consults with David) so please confirm with your insurer that they will reimburse you directly (we will provide receipts on request).

Kindly note that the full fee amount is payable for failing to keep your appointment or for giving less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.

Opening hours

All therapies causing real change also carry the risk of potential side-effects and, although we do our very best to minimise the likelihood of these, in rare cases (less than 1%) unpleasant effects (such as light-headedness, tiredness and a momentary worsening of pain symptoms) may be experienced. These are usually short-lived (24 hours or less) and we are here for support and reassurance should you have any worries. Good quality research evidence, as well as historical documentation of patient interactions, have shown Osteopathy to be a safe and effective form of treatment.

Paediatric consultations (for babies and children under the age of 16) require the presence of at least one parent or guardian and some other aspects vary from the adult format. For full details please contact us and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have in advance of your appointment.
