David Propert BSc (Hons)(Ost) FHEA FRSH - "I feel passionately that preventative, functional healthcare is the way forward for optimising personal wellbeing and performance."
After graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1993, David established the Osteopathic practice at Dolphin Square, now based at Calmer Clinics. David has been involved with pitchside sportscare, looking after elite athletes including footballers, field & track, martial arts, squash and tennis players. He has also worked as a volunteer at the Osteopathic Centre for Children and is an experienced cranial/ paediatric practitioner. David has taught groups in Italy and the USA and is Senior Lecturer in Physiology, Pathology and Professional Practice at the British School of Osteopathy. He is a contributor to several professional publications and has featured in the popular press (London Evening Standard, The Financial Times, GQ magazine). David will be involved in London 2012 as a member of the medical team.
David is available at Dolphin Square all day on Tuesday and Thursday and on Friday mornings.
Alexia Lescure BSc(Ost)(Hons) - “I am convinced that listening to our own body is the most important thing in improving our overall health."
Alexia graduated from the European School of Osteopathy where she gained clinical experience in the fields of paediatrics, maternity and general osteopathic healthcare. She is now involved with postgraduate training in sports osteopathy. She uses a wide range of osteopathic techniques including functional and cranial approaches as well as structural and rehabilitation advice (stretching, strengthening and core stability). She played top level tennis for many years (Rolland Garros and as a French International). She enjoys kickboxing, running and keepfit and will be involved in London 2012 as Osteopath to GB Handball.
Alexia is available at Dolphin Square all day on Monday and Wednesday on Friday afternoons and on Saturday.
Owen Davis M.Ost - “One of the most rewarding aspects of being an Osteopath is having the time to fully explore the individual needs of each patient so as to develop unique tailor-made treatment strategies."
Owen’s interest in manual medicine began in 2004 whilst studying for an international diploma in massage therapy. To pursue his interest further Owen went on to successfully complete his Masters degree from the British School of Osteopathy in London. Owen has attended numerous professional development courses throughout the UK and across Europe in order to provide modern, effective treatment strategies for a wide range of painful conditions. He has worked in an NHS setting within a busy GP surgery and has experience treating marathon runners for the Spinal Injuries Association.
Owen is available at Dolphin Square all day on Sunday and on Friday evenings.
